Zetro is a powerful antibiotic belonging to the macrolide group, containing the active ingredient Azithromycin. it is indicated for the treatment of various mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacterial strains. Respiratory applications include managing acute bacterial bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia in outpatient settings. It is also highly effective for upper respiratory infections such as acute sinusitis and streptococcal pharyngitis or tonsillitis.

In addition to respiratory health, Zetro treats uncomplicated infections of the skin and skin structures. Clinically, it is a primary treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, including uncomplicated urethritis and cervicitis. It is also utilized for pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia infections of the eye. For immunocompromised patients, it serves a specialized role in the prophylaxis and treatment of MAC disease. The availability of both tablets and capsules provides flexibility for patient preference and dosing requirements. Because it stays in the body for an extended period, treatment courses are typically shorter and more convenient for the patient.
