Ribazole Capsules

Ribazole Capsules – Specialized Antiviral for Hepatitis C

Ribazole is an antiviral medication specifically used in the treatment of chronic liver disease caused by the Hepatitis C virus. It is indicated for the treatment of patients aged 3 years and older with chronic Hepatitis C (CHC) who have compensated liver disease. A critical requirement for this medication is that Ribazole must always be used in combination with other agents, such as Interferon alfa-2b or Peginterferon alfa-2a; it must never be used as a monotherapy. The goal of this combination treatment is to suppress the virus, stop its replication, and eventually clear it from the body to prevent further liver damage. Successful therapy can slow the progression of liver fibrosis and reduce the risk of serious complications like cirrhosis or liver cancer. The capsules are typically taken twice daily with food to maximize absorption and clinical efficacy. Patients undergo regular blood tests during the course of treatment to monitor the viral load and ensure the safety of the regimen. Ribazole remains an essential component of specialized protocols for managing chronic viral hepatitis.
