Montiget Sachet provides a child-friendly oral delivery system for Montelukast, a medication used for the long-term management of asthma and allergies. It is indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in children as young as 12 months of age. This form is particularly beneficial for infants and toddlers who cannot yet swallow tablets. Additionally, Montiget is effective for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients 2 years and older, and perennial allergic rhinitis in those 6 months and older. As a leukotriene receptor antagonist, it works by blocking the chemicals in the body that cause airway swelling and mucus production. The granules can be administered directly or mixed with soft, cold food for easy consumption. Regular use helps reduce the frequency of asthma symptoms and prevents the nasal congestion and itching associated with common allergies. Using the sachet ensures that young children receive a precise and effective dose in a form they can easily tolerate.
