Cefiget Suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic designed to treat infections caused by susceptible strains of designated microorganisms. It is effective in managing uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis, as well as otitis media caused by Haemophilus influenzae (both beta-lactamase positive and negative strains), Moraxella catarrhalis (mostly beta-lactamase positive), and Streptococcus pyogenes.
It is also indicated for pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by S. pyogenes, acute bronchitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis due to Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. Additionally, Cefiget Suspension treats uncomplicated gonorrhea (cervical or urethral) caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, including both penicillinase- and non-penicillinase-producing strains.
