Cefiget DS Suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic specifically formulated to treat infections caused by susceptible strains of designated microorganisms. It is effective in managing uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis, as well as otitis media caused by Haemophilus influenzae (beta-lactamase positive and negative strains), Moraxella catarrhalis (mostly beta-lactamase positive), and Streptococcus pyogenes.
Additionally, Cefiget DS Suspension is indicated for pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by S. pyogenes, acute bronchitis, and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis due to Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. It is also effective in treating uncomplicated gonorrhea (cervical/urethral) caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, including both penicillinase- and non-penicillinase-producing strains.
